Update field

Purpose of this building block

This building block allows you to update your Google Forms questions with values from Google Sheets, Contacts and all other data sources that you have added to your flow.

Possible use cases

• Populate grid questions with data from a product catalog
• Dynamically adjust your Google Forms as of the user input

Configuration

Click on the bold text in the title of the building block to open the configuration dialog.

 Edit

 

Click on the edit icon to edit the Google Form in a new browser tab or window.

 Reload

 

Click on the reload icon to scan the file-name for added or removed variables.

Useful combinations

Load form options from a worksheet

This is very handy in case you receive frequent answers from a certain form but the options a user may select change often - a list of employees (hopefully growing!) or a list of available items.

Just use the Load worksheet building block to load the a worksheet containing the current options. So a list of your current employees or a catalogue of all items you sell. By running the Update fields building block you can populate the existing form with the current values quickly at any time.
